The Council of Yukon First Nations is the central political organization for the First Nation people of the Yukon. It has been in existence since 1973 and continues to serve the needs of First Nations within the Yukon and the MacKenzie delta. CYFN's mandate is to be a unified organization supporting First Nations Governments, First Nations aspirations and where appropriate advocating on key issues.

Yukon First Nations Energy Forum

The Council of Yukon First Nations, Yukon Energy, and Yukon Indian Development Corp. are hosting an energy forum on November 23rd and 1⁄2 day on the 24th, at Mt. McIntrye Recreation Center in Whitehorse. The target audience is Chiefs, Councillors, Development Corporation Presidents/CEOs or Trustees.

The purpose of the forum is to provide First Nations with the necessary resources and sufficient case study mate- rial to inform potential business opportunities for clean energy development in partnership with Yukon Energy.

The forum is intended to be interactive and collaborative with the participants and will feature a few key speakers with related experience.
